About DR Ladner
Dr Grant Ladner is an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) on the Berea in Durban and in Kloof, Durban.
He is a general Ophthalmologist. He has a wide range of interests in ophthalmology including cataract surgery, glaucoma and the medical treatment of retinal conditions. He also has an interest in surgical reconstructive procedures of the eyelids, orbits (bones of the eye socket), the tear drainage system as well as the forehead and mid face area. In ophthalmology terms, Dr Ladner is interested in both general ophthalmology as well as oculoplastic and orbital surgery.
He practices at the Parklands Hospital in Overport, Durban and at the Kloof Medical Centre
Dr GC Ladner completed his undergraduate studies in Pretoria. He did his internship in Pietermaritzburg and remained in KwaZulu Natal until he qualified as an Ophthalmologist in 2008. He then worked as a Consultant at Greys Hospital. He was the acting Head of Department of Ophthalmology at Greys Hospital in 2010.
At the end of 2010 he went to London and completed a Fellowship in the Adnexal Service at Moorfields Hospital in London. He is the only Ophthalmologist in KZN to have completed a dedicated Fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery.
He is the past President of the South African Oculoplastic Society.
